The calavera has been in use since the mid-1700s and were originally created as a sweet treat for children. In modern times, however, it is not uncommon to leave a finely decorated sugar skull as a gift for the spirits of those who left before us. Product features a blue sugar skull set on a white background. The skull is outlined with quilling paper and decorated in traditional style. The chin has red and yellow flower. The teeth are made of blue swirled paper and white accents, and an upside-down heart shape outlines the nose. The eyes are outlined in a ring of small circles made from white and red paper, and each eye has red eyelashes. A yellow heart with a pink aura sits in the middle of the forehead, and two yellow and pink flowers sit on the left and right sides of the skull. The top of the skull has half a yellow and pink circle, and a pair of pink hearts with leaf accents sit between this circle and the flowers on either side of the skull. Empty space on the skull is filled with small heart, leaf, and dot patterns.
